Ashley Tisdale Keeps It Clean

“High School Musical” Star Doesn’t Drink Or Smoke…
Some of her 20-something celebrity peers have been in a lot of trouble lately, but Ashley Tisdale is keeping her image squeaky clean, even though she says she’s not perfect.
“I’m not someone who likes to be in the whole Hollywood tabloids,” she said. “I’m not someone who wants to go clubbing. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, so a lot of it has to do with that, too. My mom doesn’t drink or smoke, so just growing up, I feel like I can have fun without doing that and ice my personal choice.”
She might be keeping it clean, but Tisdale is growing up. For a time, at least, she is leaving the halls of “High School Musical” to strike out on her own.
Her video for “Not Like That” has already had 2.5 million hits on YouTube.com and she has embarked on a mall tour to promote her new album, “Headstrong,” which she said is an appropriate title for her first solo project.
“In the process of making the album I realized I definitely was headstrong,” she said. Tisdale wrote many of the songs on the album, some of which are personal, she said.
“There’s been a couple breakups, a couple jealousies, like high school, girls jealous, so I kind of wrote three songs on the album that were definitely personal to me,” she said.
Where ever she goes, Tisdale, 22, draws a crowd. One security guard at a Nashville mall said that she was bigger than Christmas, which she thought was a little weird. Nonetheless, she’s pleased by how things have been going.
“It was amazing,” she said. “I thought there was only going to be like 100 kids. It was 3,200. I just couldn’t believe it. I’m used to being in a group of six for ‘High School Musical’ so just seeing fans, it was awesome.”
Meanwhile, Tisdale is also releasing a DVD called “There’s Something About Ashley,” which is the story of her secret life. She also says expect to see a third “High School Musical,” which is currently in negotiations.
“I definitely want to do it,” Tisdale said.
‘Suite Life’ Star Hits The Mall

Headed to the malls to bring their fans their music..

Fifteen and twenty years ago, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, and New Kids On The Block headed to the malls to bring their fans their music. Thousands of screaming, hysterical teenagers headed to those malls and years later, some things haven’t change. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and , star Ashley Tisdale will head out her own nationwide mall tour, and kicked things off today in Columbus, OH at the Polaris Mall.
On Tuesday, October 16, Tisdale will perform at Orland Square in Chicago, IL. She’ll also head to Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Nashville, Minneapolis, and Kansas City. Her last scheduled date is November 1 in Dallas, though it is rumored that more shows will be announced soon.
At each stop, Tisdale will be teaming up with local radio stations to bring her music live to her fans. She has also teamed up with the clothing company, Ecko Red, becoming their spokesperson and hosting fashion shows during her tour. According to her website, a contest is being held where the winners will get to walk in the show and meet Tisdale.
It is appropriate that TIsdale will use malls as her venue for her tour, supporting her album Headstrong. “I was discovered by a talent scout at a local mall,” she said in an interview with Variety. The tickets are free, which means fans (and their parents) will be clamoring for a good view of the 22 year old Disney sensation. To help promote her tour, she is appearing on Good Morning America on October 19 and Live with Regis and Kelly on October 22.
When her tour wraps, Tisdale has lots to keep her busy. She will be doing nationwide radio interviews in support of her album, which she will be re-releasing and doing three music videos for. She is also working on her first starring role in the movie, Picture This, as BuddyTV reported. Though it has not been confirmed, there’s always the possibility we’ll be seeing Sharpay Evans one last time in High School Musical 3.

Ashley Tisdale on Music, Movies — and Kissing

It would seem that High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale would have no spare time…

By Nicholas White
It would seem that High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale would have no spare time, what with shooting a series of music videos and starring in and producing a movie – but she does.
And she spends it with pal Vanessa Hudgens.
“She’s my best friend, so I’m always with her,” Tisdale, 22, told PEOPLE at the High School Musical: The Ice Tour premiere in Los Angeles recently. “We go shopping, hang out, sleepovers, all that.” (To see Tisdale in her PEOPLE.com video diary with other Disney Channel stars, click here.)
On the music front, Tisdale, whose album Headstrong generated strong sales upon its release in February, has a new music video: He Said She Said, which is now No. 8 on MTV’s TRL. It is also part of a trilogy due next month that will include the songs “Not Like That” and “Suddenly.”
“They’re so much different from movies,” Tisdale says of music videos. “You look at the camera, and usually you never look at the camera. With music videos, you get to perform, and I love to perform. I always bring ideas to the director – it’s something that when I hear a song, I always think of it visually.”
Her feature movie, Picture This, is being shot in Canada and Tisdale admits that the logistics of shooting the kissing scenes make her ill at ease.
“The director [Stephen Herek] is so much fun to work with, he’s done so many movies with Angelina Jolie, Kiefer Sutherland, Keanu Reeves,” Tisdale says. “[But] I do a couple kiss scenes. I was really uncomfortable, not used to it. … I was like, ‘This is so weird.’ ”
The problem is, she says, “You have so many people watching you. I had done it on my TV shows, but usually it’s so different from a movie. You have to do it over and over and over, and every different angle.”
